Cleveland - Redland Performing Arts Centre
Aspiring Redlands songwriters can create new music with four of Australia’s finest contemporary singer-songwriters. Come along to a free masterclass at the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) in Cleveland on July 27 to write new songs reflecting Redlands and its future as part of the Redland City Council's creative approach to community planning. Your song may be performed at the launch of the Redlands 2030 Community Plan at RPAC in September. Song Trails brings to Cleveland the talents of Melinda Schneider, Mark Gable (the Choir Boys), Eric McCusker (Mondo Rock), and Leah Flanagan. Composer Bernard Houston will apply his creative skills to the task, coordinating a workshop to extend the Cleveland leg of Song Trails to a day-long creative workshop. Places are limited. Type of Events

Visioning workshops
The aim of the visioning workshops is for residents to identify what they love about the Redlands and to share their vision for the Redlands of the future. These and other discussion topics will be used as the basis for the community plan.

Speak-outs
Speak-outs are family friendly community events run by Council where residents will have the opportunity to talk about the things that matter most. The main aim of the speak-out is for residents to ‘drop in’ at a convenient time and have a chat about the things that make the Redlands great and the things that can be improved. There will be activities for all the family and booths set up specifically for residents to have their say. For example, if you would like to have your say on the environment, head to the environment booth. We’re listening and we hope to see you there!
